The U.S. Surgeon General has released a framework featuring five essentials that employers can focus on to help create workplaces that are “engines of well-being.” The foundation of the Framework for Workplace Mental Health and Well-Being is based on the following five essentials: protection from harm; connection and community; work-life harmony; mattering at work; and opportunity for growth, all of which are centered on worker voice and equity.
